New oral therapies combine targeted antibiotics with anti-inflammatory agents to improve swine health

ST. PETER, Minn. (Feb. 26, 2026)Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions (VPS), a leader in livestock pharmacy compounding, announces the launch of AmoxMelox and Enteriquell, two compounded oral formulations developed using combinations of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications to meet unique needs. These innovations reflect VPS’ commitment to innovation and address the critical need for infection control in swine production.

AmoxMelox combines compounded Amoxicillin and Meloxicam, drugs that target infections and reduce inflammation in sows. For piglets, Enteriquell contains Tylosin, Gentamicin and Dexamethasone, which allows the co-administration of both antibiotic and steroid medications in a single solution. Both products deliver easy-to-administer oral solutions for individual dosing.

“As a trusted partner to livestock veterinarians for over 30 years, we are proud to bring these two new solutions to market,” says Dean Warras, CEO of Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions. “AmoxMelox and Enteriquell reflect our ongoing mission to enhance animal health, support veterinarians and create measurable value for producers and stakeholders.”

Both products are prescription-only and available through licensed veterinarians. For more information about VPS and its portfolio of livestock and poultry health solutions, visit VeterinaryPharmaceuticalSolutions.com.
