Mendicin is a unique and patent-pending compounded topical ointment from VPS that provides a natural polymer suspension with antibiotics. Mendicin contains two active ingredients: Neomycin and Bacitracin. Mendicin applies and adheres as a matrix to open wounds, such as shoulders, foot and surgical castration incisions, and is formulated to be moisturizing and non-irritating.1
In a 2024 study across multiple farms, 70% of sows treated with Mendicin showed improved wound surface area, while only 38% of sows treated with iodine and lidocaine—an industry-standard treatment—showed improvement.2 In a case study, Mendicin applied to castration incision had 92% of pigs with improved wound healing, compared to pigs with no treatment with 54% with poor wound healing.1

Healicin ABF is a non-compounded antibiotic-free and steroid-free nutritive spray cream from Veterinary Pharmaceutical Solutions (VPS). Formulated to be moisturizing and non-irritating, Healicin ABF has been field-tested on injuries such as shoulder sores, tail bites, foot and leg injuries, castration incisions and bacterial skin infections. In a 2024 study across multiple farms, 79% of sows treated with Healicin ABF showed improved wound surface area, while only 38% of sows treated with iodine and lidocaine showed improvement.2 There is no prescription necessary for Healicin ABF.
